Hello beautiful people from the Internet!

Do you ever find a makeup product that you really REALLY like? Love the finish, the formula, how easy it is to apply? But then you see the price tag, and you see that the product is waaaaay more expensive than you thought so you just leave the product on the shelf and just quietly walk away like nothing every happened. Then I have a really exciting post for you today: DUPES! We all love high-end looking makeup but not all of us can actually spend hundreds on it so! I have decided I would find different drugstore products that could be dupes of popular high-end products 🙂

Disclaimer: I have compared the products either buying the high-end product, going to a store and actually trying it there (I know, embarrassing) or either I know someone who has the expensive product so I have tested it at their house. For that reason, I am just going to be showing you the dupes I found 🙂

  1. Makeup Revolution Flawless 3 Resurrection Palette. As I mentioned on my last post (If you haven’t read it yet, you can check it out here!) this palette can easily be the Anastasia Beverly Hills “Renaissance” dupe. Some colors in the palette are really similar or the exact same one! The only difference is that one palette retails for £8 for 32 shades and the other 14 shades for £41…90ED5F47-D552-4EA4-9FC7-CB218045F566
  2. Maybelline Instant Anti-Age Concealer. This product is the exact dupe of Nars “Radiant Creamy Concealer”, the only difference between them is the finish they have. The Maybelline product doesn’t dry your skin as much as the Nars concealer, which I prefer. The Maybelline concealer retails for £8,99 and the Nars one, £23.BF3CD913-A4B8-4876-9D36-E3DC886AB9FD
  3. Lottie London Slay All Day Liquid Lipstick. The craze for the Kylie lip kit is real, but what if I told you I have found the EXACT shade of one of her popular colors “Maliboo”. The dupe is Lottie London Slay All day Liquid Lipstick in the shade “Werk it”, the thing that I have found a bit different is the formula the lipsticks have, as the Kylie is a little bit more creamy when you apply it, but they all have the same finish. As with Kylie’s lip kits, you can buy Lottie’s products separately or as lip kits. Lottie’s lipstick retails for £5,99 just the lipstick and £9,99 for the lip kit. Kylie’s retail for £23.51DFF656-588F-43C6-8B9E-FFC755428E57
  4. Makeup Revolution “Moon Glow Nights”. I am obsessed with highlighters, I just love them so much, and usually, big brands such as MAC, Becca, Anastasia Beverly Hills… used to have the craziest and coolest colors, but now, drugstore brands are starting to add different shades and colors to their highlight collection as well. When I first saw the Becca’s “Prismatic Atheist Highlighter” I thought it was the prettiest highlighter I had ever seen, then I saw the price. It retails for £38. So I had this mission of finding the perfect dupe for it, I ended up finding it, the Makeup Revolution “Moon Glow Lights”. In my opinion, the latter is even more blinding than Becca’s, and it is only £3.61DCCC40-68ED-4CF1-9EAB-F59F29EE853A
  5. #ProArtist Professional London nº9. I know I have said this A LOT of times, sorry I repeat myself but I am in a warm-toned makeup obsessed phase so I am always trying to look for new warm colors to add in my collection, three months ago I bought MAC’s “I’m into you” eyeshadow, three months later, I found a really similar color at Superdrug… £2… I had paid £16… for almost the same color. What made me feel even more stupid was, they have the same texture, both of them are easy to blend, only difference? It has MAC on the front of the package…99C2DE62-1AF1-44AA-B98C-149C415594B3

That’s it for today’s post! Hope the dupes helped some of you that don’t want to spend a lot of money on beauty products! If you want to know when my next post is up and be updated make sure you follow my blog and follow my social medias!

Makeup revolution: Flawless 3 Resurrection Palette REVIEW & MAKEUP LOOK

Hello beautiful people from the Internet!

In today’s post I am going to be reviewing “Makeup Revolution’s Flawless 3 Resurrection” palette which I got about two days ago. You can buy this palette in Superdrug stores for only £8 and it is also available to buy it online. The packaging of the palette is absolutely stunning, it is this gorgeous metallic pink color and on the inside, you get a huge mirror which can be really handy if you are traveling and you don’t want to carry an extra mirror to do your makeup on the plane, bus, car…

Regarding the colors, all of them are warm which I am currently obsessed with, and although most of them are neutrals, it has this pop of color with the red-toned oranges and the pinks. What I love in any palette I buy is variety, I love having matte and shimmery colors to play with and this palette has a full row of shimmer with light pinks and gold colors. The pigmentation of the colors is pretty good, with the lighter colors you have to insist a little more (like in most palettes) but with darker colors, with just one swatch, the color showed up pretty nicely. Blending wise, for me it was pretty easy to blend the colors, but it really depends if you are used to blending, the bushes you are using… but in general, it was really easy, which is a really positive aspect.

A part from the review I’ve thought of also making a look using some of the most unusual colors of the palette so you can see a bit better how they look on. The makeup look I am going to be going for is a pink look. I never wear pink colored eyeshadow so I wanted to test the pinks in the palette out to get out of my comfort zone.

Before starting the look, I will insert a picture of the different areas of the eye that are mentioned just in case you are just starting out with makeup and don’t know what is each thing (I didn’t know so hopefully the image helps! 🙂 ) Took the image of @chelseasmakeup as it is really easy to see what is each part (added the names after getting the picture).

So to start this makeup look I have applied concealer all over my eyelid and brow bone in order to make all the colors show their “true color”, if you have a little redness on your eyelids sometimes the colors don’t show up as well so I always try to apply some concealer or eyeshadow base to fix that. The first color I have used was “New Birth”, and I have applied that all over my lid. Next I have applied “Believing”, which is one of the nice pink colors in the palette, and I have put that all over my crease and in the outer V of the eye.

After that, I have added “On” on the crease and outer V and have started blending the colors together and bringing them to the middle of my eyelid. Once I have had all the colors blended, I have added “Revitalise” to the inner corner of my eye, and slowly blending out to the middle of my eye to meet the other colors previously used. To create more depth I have used “In” in the outter V of my eye. I have also used the color “In” mixed with “On” on my lower lashes to create the smokey effect. And last but not least, for my brow bone, I have used “Resurrection”, the lightest color of the palette.

I have finished the look by adding some fake eyelashes and a thin eyeliner to make the look a bit more dramatic.

Hope you guys liked the look! If you want to know when my next post is up and be updated make sure you follow my blog and follow my social medias!

Flowery Look

Hello beautiful people from the Internet!

Today I am sharing with you one of my favorite hairstyles for summer: messy bun. Although it has taken me incredibly long to master the art of messy buns, I can finally say I am able to do a messy bun without putting that much effort into making it look effortlessly when in reality I have spent half an hour trying to make it look “messy” (the struggle though).
I wear this hairstyle almost every single day, it is easy to do, quick and fashionable, what else can you ask for, right?

Although I always wear this hairstyle without any accessories, today the weather was extremely nice (a miracle in Ireland), it was so warm, the sun was shinning… so this super nice weather has inspired me to wear my flower crown.

I have paired my crown with a really basic outfit to make my flower crown stand out from the rest. I was wearing  grey t-shirt and black jeans, which have made my pink flower crown be the pop of color the outfit needed! 🙂

Summer Warm Toned Makeup Look

Hello beautiful people from the Internet!

I have been really into warm toned makeup recently so I have decided to share with you one of my favorite looks: Natural Bronzed Warm Toned Makeup. I love how it makes your skin glow and your eyes pop, so let me show you how to recreate the look!

I will not go through the details of my face makeup (I can go into detail in another post if anyone is interested), so I will go straight to the eye makeup.
The eyeshadows I will be using for this makeup look are only three MAC eyeshadows (two colors at the top of the palette and the separate eyeshadow) and one MAC pigment.

The first thing you want to do is put some primer on your eyelid so the eyeshadows stay in place throughout the day or night, depending when you want to wear the look. Once you have put on the primer you are going to take the first light orange and put it all over the eyelid.

Then you are going to take the second orange the one a little bit more dark and you are going to place it in the  V of your eye, going a little further than just the ouster V, try to go halfway through the lid as well, to create the illusion that your eye is deeper than what it actually is.

The next step is going to be to create a little bit more depth by adding the darkest relish color to the ouster V of the eye.Make sure to blend all the colors so you don’t get any harsh lines.

What I like to do in order to bright up my eyes is to put the pigment in the inner corners of my eyes and spread it until half of my eyelid, which makes all the colors mix and have the shimmer of the pigment.

Once you are done, just apply some mascara and you are good to go! If you want to make the eye look a little more dramatic you can add some winged eyeliner and maybe some lashes to create the more dramatic and slammed vibe to it. I would wear a nude lipstick with it as the look has color already.

Hope you liked this post, see you soon!
